Did I do that?

Last night, Ammon went to sleep without a black eye. This morning, when I got him out of his crib, he looked like he had been in a boxing match. Talk about a bad dream! When Zac woke up and saw him, he said, with amazement "Oh wow.....did I do that?" Lucky for him, he didn't!

A Pucker to Remember

Here is a picture of Barney and Betty Rubble at our annual family Halloween celebration. We had a fun night of trick or treating downtown, going to a neighbors party and then watching a family Halloween movie. Zac usually wants NOTHING to do with kisses, but that night, he really got into character.

Lent is over!

As you all may have guessed, I gave up blogging for Lent.....but it's over now, so we're back! : )I thought we'd start out with a little video representing how we all should act when we face opposition and rejection. Sierra demonstrates this very well! These two are my dancers! My next post will catch you up on all our latest happenings!

Zac Attack

The other day when we got home from a LONG trip to the doctor where we found out that Zac still has his "lifelong" chronic ear infections, I heard one of the kids telling him in a very convincing way that he "had" to be a doctor when he grew up. From the other room, I could here him getting more and more agitated as he tried to get them to stop telling him what he was going to be. Finally, in distress he ran to me and said, "I JUST want to be ZACKY"! Bingo.....the parenting pearl I've been looking for! Although he is a little spit fire right now, and his energy level leaves me exasperated from time to time, with the right guidance and direction, before long, I will probably say that I miss the adrenalin rush that finding a little boy covered in cottage cheese at the top of the stairs brings. Quicker than I'd like, I am sure that he will become whatever he wants to be.....judging by the messes he can make, there's a hint of an inventor in his personality; for now though, I'm going to chase him around while he "just wants to be ZACKY"!

Happy Birthday Sierra!

In the midst of snail shells and puppy dog tails, and the chaos that having three brothers brings, we have an aspiring "princess", who loves to be fancy and wear plastic high heels when it snows, puts mascara on better than a grown woman, and who loves everything about being a girl. This year for her birthday, her Grandma Stout brought Belle to her party. Her royal court (aka, my siblings and in laws), came all the way from Fort Worth in a Texas blizzard to celebrate with us, and in Sierra's words, "it was the best magical day ever!" Here's to a new year filled with many more "magical days" for us all!
